Stones Turned Alive
Collecting stones is one of my hobbies. Sometimes I get beautiful riverstones as gifts, but more often than not, I find granite, limestones and cobbles myself. I would stop walking, wander off the road for a new search. Most people see them as nothing extraordinary, but each stone has a story engraved upon it, a story to uncover, chronicling how it was born from the elementary particles, how it got raised to the earth's surface, and how it was transformed, shattered, reborn under grological movements. My fascination with those children of earth generated an understanding of the ancient belief of animism, and I seek to personify the stones in my ongoing project.

This piece is designed to evoke theatre. The intertwined people with blank white masks represent stage play actors whose identities are concealed under the roles.

The fantastic barn owl is created on a small chicken egg, instead of a goose egg.
